Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Stumble mobile application (the "App") operated by Stumble ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Stumble shows you the people you cross paths with in everyday life — at a café, on campus, at a concert — and lets you view their profiles and, if you both agree, share more. Stumble detects crossed paths using your device's location as described in our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Stumble. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the App with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
You sign in with your phone number. You are responsible for keeping access to your phone number and device secure and for all activity under your account. You may only create one account, and only for yourself. Let us know at contact@heystumble.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Stumble needs access to your location to work. You can choose "While Using" or "Always" access, switch on ghost mode to stop being detected, or revoke access at any time in your device settings. Crossed paths are detected automatically and may not be perfectly accurate — location data can be affected by your device, signal, and surroundings.
Stumble is about people who share the same places. To keep it safe and respectful, you agree not to:
You can block or report anyone directly from their profile. We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
You keep ownership of the photos, videos, names, bios, and links you add to Stumble ("Your Content"). By adding Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and process it solely to operate and provide the App. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where other users have already been shown it or where we must keep it to comply with the law.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove any content that violates these Terms.
Stumble does not run background checks on users and cannot verify everyone's identity or intentions. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, online or in person. Use good judgement, meet in public places, and never share information you are not comfortable sharing.
You can stop using Stumble and delete your account at any time in the App under Profile. We may suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms, put other users at risk, or if required by law.
The App, including its design, name, logo, and software, is owned by Stumble and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our written permission.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every crossed path will be detected. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stumble shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the App or your interactions with other users. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, let you know in the App. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
